The snake is one of my favorite symbols and one of the most revered throughout history in art as early as prehistoric art to the Egyptian hieroglyphics. The snake although feared by many it is also considered a healer and protector. I like to think of the snake as a teacher her lesson is to shed ourselves of what no longer serves us and teaches the perspective to view endings as new beginnings.
The snake together with the waxing moon can be seen as a symbol of femininity and eternity.
