Turquoise features a lot in my artworks. It happens to be my birth stone and I always find myself gravitating to this stunningly beautiful gemstone. Its variance of colours, shades, and patterns, no turquoise stone is ever the same. The name of this stag piece Fallen Sky Stone comes from Native American culture, they believe the turquoise to be symbolic of both spiritual and life affirming qualities. It represents both sky and water. In many cultures turquoise is associated with protection, love and abundance. It is believed that wearing turquoise can ward off negative energies and bring good fortune. The use of bright patterns and colours is inspired by the native American tapestries adorning this afterlife warrior.
